Bohol GLC Branch Constructs New School Building

GLC Bohol buildingThe Bohol Campus of Golden Link College is currently constructing a new one-storey school building to accommodate the needs of its growing population. The Bohol branch has now six levels: Nursery, Kinder 1, Kinder 2, and Grades 1-3.

2014 Moving Up Ceremonies

In its first Moving Up Ceremonies, GLC Bohol had 5 graduates of Kinder 2 level. The program was attended by Vic Hao Chin Jr., President of Golden Link College, Rekha Nahar, Administrator of GLC, Eiren Galang, Principal of GLC Main, and the three French visiting faculty of GLC: Karima Rais, Victoria Roux and Ugo Brunet. April, 2013 Update

Bohol GLC Opens Preschool

GLC Bohol Branch Preschool opened with 16 students in three levels. The teacher is Ms. Atessa Sabio, under the supervision of Mrs. Corazon Ponteres, school directress. It is located in De la Paz, Cortes, about 15 minutes away from the center of Tagbilaran, the provincial capital.

The school year opened with a Parents' Orientation session last June 9, 2013 attended by GLC President, Vicente Hao Chin Jr., and Administrator Rekha L. Nahar.

Bohol GLC Offers Free Summer Classes

Golden Link College Bohol Campus opened last Sunday, April 7, 2013, with the Parents' Orientation of the Free Summer Class. It was attended by highest officials of Cortes, Bohol, where the school is located, particularly Mayor Danilo Montero, Vice-Mayor Iven P. Lim, and Barangay Chairman, Policarpo Pabotoy, including many of the Barangay Councilors Antolin Coyoca, Jesus Jumamil, Domingo Bautista and Roquilito Malanog.

More than 120 students enrolled from ages 3-8 (Nursery to Grade 3). This was more than what was originally expected. There are two teachers, Atessa Sabio, who trained in Golden Link main campus for one year, and Anna Mae Bellosa.

The Parents Orientation was attended by an overflowing audience consisting of parents and guests that the large hall of the school could not accommodate all of them. It was emceed by Boni Quirog, member of the Executive Committee of the school. Speakers were Rekha Nahar, Administrator of GLC; Cora Ponteres, Directress of the Bohol Campus, Vicente Hao Chin, Jr., President of GLC; the Mayor, Vice Mayor and the Barangay Chairman.

The Golden Link School, Bohol Campus, is located in Cortes, Bohol, about 15 minutes from Tagbilaran City, the provincial capital. During the regular school year, the school will offer nursery, kindergarten and preparatory levels.

The school will be under the supervision of Mrs. Cora Ponteres, former President of the Bohol Lodge of the Theosophical Society, with the support of the officers of the Bohol Lodge, particularly Bonifacio Quirog, who sits as a member of the Executive Committee of the school; Ludwig Quirog, present President of the Bohol Lodge, April May Abaya, Vice President, and many active members of the lodge: Kristine Genita, Ian Maestrado, Margie Angalot, Salvio Makinano, Bob Hutchinson. Many volunteers helped, specifically, Roy Ponteres, Marlyn Garrote and Nerius Ponteres.
