Philippine section business meeting
The Philippine section held its annual conference during the Indo-Pacific Conference. The Federations (Luzon and Vis-Min) reviewed its work and planned for the coming year. |

The Godea Lodge of the Philippine section presented a traditional Muslim dance of the South.
Here are Larry (Singapore) and Mayette (Philippines) doing their animated dance. The dancing broke out spontaneously after the session.

"Because we have been having vey meaningful meetings, we shall now devote time to non-meaning." Says Harris of the Singapore Lodge, which group presented some Malay songs part of which they did not know the meaning.

At
such gatherings as this, we are helped to realize more of the very
essence of Theosophy than perhaps we have done hitherto. I feel than an
important part of the work of the Theosophical Society is being
accomplished through its conventions and conferences, which are not
just occasions for talking and listening. That is a purely superficial
and outward interpretation of what actually takes place. We are here in
order to create an atmosphere, to set forces in action, to change
ourselves, to enter with our whole hearts into the truths of the Divine
Wisdom.
