Sons of the Fire Mist
From Theosopedia
In theosophical literature, a term used for a special group of Adepts who were produced consciously through kriy€akti by the Sons of Wisdom during the Third Root Race of humanity. The Mahatma Letters refer to them as the inhabitants of Shamballa who triumphed over the wicked magicians of Poseidon, the last island of Atlantis. They were not a race, and are also called “Sons of Will and Yoga.”
- It was at first a wondrous Being, called the “Initiator,” and after him a group of semi-divine and semi-human beings. “Set apart” in Archaic genesis for certain purposes, they are those in whom are said to have incarnated the highest Dhy€nis, “Munis and ¬ishis from previous Manvantaras” — to form the nursery for future human adepts, on this earth and during the present cycle. These “Sons of Will and Yoga” born, so to speak, in an immaculate way, remained, it is explained, entirely apart from the rest of mankind. (SD I:207)
In another sense, the term “Sons of the Fire-Mist” is also used for “the highest of the planetary Chohans and Angels.” They are the Rays of the Third Logos (CW 10:394).
