(lit. “mind-made-sheath”). In the Vedantic system the human being is divided into five “sheaths” or “vehicles,” collectively called the Pañca-koa, with the lower mind and the astral body taken together as Manomaya-koa. It is part of the subtle sheath called s™kma-ar…ra with its desires and motives that form the mind.
