Sheath; used in Vedanta philosophy for describing the five sheaths (pañca-kosa) of Atman. Thus:

Anandamaya-kosa = bliss-made-sheath, i.e., Buddhic body
Vijñanamaya-kosa = intellect-made-sheath, i.e., higher mind
Manomaya-kosa = mind-made-sheath, i.e., lower mind, sometimes called desire-mind or Kama-Manas.
Pranamaya-kosa = vitality-made-sheath, i.e., etheric double.
Annamaya-kosa = food-made-sheath, i.e., physical or biological body.
