(Gk.). Emptiness; the name given to space before creation.

In the works of Charles W. LEADBEATER it is described as similar to the aether of space which is pressed back into bubbles by the energy of the Logos. These primordial bubbles are coiled into spiral formations, with seven bubbles to each spiral. The bubbles are held together by the will of the LOGOS. This is the spiral of the first order. The strands of the spirals are further coiled into spirals making “spirals of the second order.” Lengths of spirals of the second order are in turn coiled into larger loops, forming “spirals of the third order,” and so on. The ultimate physical atom, or “aŠu,” according to Leadbeater, is composed of ten parallel strands composed of lengths of spirals of the sixth order.
