A movement within the Theosophical Society (TS) intended mainly for children. It was founded in 1899 in the United States of America by William John Walters. It is an international organization which is associated with the ORDER OF THE ROUND TABLE of which it forms a junior section. The pledge taken by members reads, “I am a link in The Golden Chain that stretches round the World and I must keep my Link bright and strong. I will try to be kind and gentle to every living thing I meet and to protect and help all who are weaker then myself. I will try to think pure and beautiful thoughts, to speak pure and beautiful words, and to do pure and beautiful actions. May every Link in The Golden Chain become bright and strong.”
