In Egyptian mythology, a non-physical region governed by Osiris, the Egyptian Lord of the Dead. It is said to have fourteen sections, the lower of which is equivalent to KĀMA-LOKA, while the higher levels, called AANROO, are equivalent to DEVACHAN. Helena P. Blavatsky states that, esoterically, Amenti is the dwelling of the God Amen, or Amoun, or the “hidden,” secret god.
