Sheath; used in Ved€nta philosophy for describing the five sheaths (pañca-koa) of štman. Thus: šnandamaya-koa = bliss-made-sheath, i.e., Buddhic body Vijñ€namaya-koa = intellect-made-sheath, i.e., higher mind Manomaya-koa = mind-made-sheath, i.e., lower mind, sometimes called desire-mind or K€ma-Manas.
